However, the celebration to Mark the reunification day was canceled earlier last month by the President, H. E Paul Biya amidst growing concerns of the continual spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The Church of Cameroon in this time of confinement has seized the opportunity to call for a prayer of oneness dubbed, The National Day of Prayer. Christians are advised to choose a convenient time slot and to pray at their respective location.
The four main prayer points include; repentance, reconciliation, end of COVID-19, and end of the socio-political stalemate.
The National Day of Prayer is an initiative of the Cameroon Church Project and calls on every Christian in Cameroon, mindless of their denomination to react by joining the ongoing train and pray for the nation.
