Today, we bring to you, Bliss Bland, an uprising gospel artist who hails from the Northwest Region of Cameroon but now resides in Buea.
Bliss Bland with the birth name Ngum Blandine Bih Nancy She is a singer, songwriter, and is equally a worship leader; this should ring a bell when it comes to her commitment to the things of God and the Gospel Music Ministry.
As talented as she is, she adds up as a Businesswoman, Fashion Designer, Actress, Flight Ticket Agent, and a Travel and Tourism graduate from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Bliss Bland’s Journey and Experience
Bliss Bland is an unashamed Christian, who reconciled back to Father God out of desperation and depression; funny to say.
In the year 2012, she saw her kid sister being tormented by sickness, and out of frustration; she decided one Sunday morning to “go look for God”.
She told God that anywhere she hears a person clapping hands that’s where she’s going. Luckily for her, she found herself in Winners Chapel and it was like everything was designed for her and she grabbed the opportunity to receive Jesus into her life.
As a kid, Bliss grew up loving music and had always wanted to be an artist. She could spend her whole day listening to Destiny kids, Women of Faith, Brandy, Shania Twain, Celine Dion, and Resonance.
The first time she visited the studio was in the upper sixth for a project by a team. It was a nice experience until when she left Bamenda for Buea, priorities changed and she lost her passion.
In the year 2013, she met a friend of hers Glamour; Glamour’s zeal for music was something else. His life was school, music and this greatly encouraged her to start singing again.
In the year 2015, Glamour invited her to do backup for his single “Guardian Angel”. This greatly motivated her to collaborate with other artists and work on herself.
In 2016, Bliss released her first single titled “My Boo”, Followed by “Number One Fan” in 2017 though she didn’t officially release them. From the year 2018 to early 2021, she lost touch with her true self and decided to go on a journey to find her.
This journey has been great for Bliss Bland as mentors like Stephany Gretzinger, Kari Jobe, Tasha Cobbs, have been her greatest motivation in the ministry. Bliss will be releasing a” Comeback” gift this month Titled “LESSONS” ANTICIPATE.
“My greatest obstacle had been finding myself prior to my forthcoming single LESSONS.”~ Bliss Bland
Currently, Bliss is not signed under a record label and hope’s for that anyway.
Bliss defines her art of music as that which connects Love and beauty in a person(God) and expresses love and beauty to His creation.
Bliss Bland promises to deliver to her audience the real expression of Love and beauty that Connects Creation to its Creator.
The key moments in her career have been transitioning from “just singing to adding value “and choosing passion over career.
Her views on gospel music in Cameroon are a plus as she testifies that gospel music in Cameroon has been progressing so far and it’s thanks to the progressive hard work and trust in God the Father.
