Blessings to every iJesusAfrican, I trust you are all safe and doing just fine!
It’s with many regrets that I write you this letter, however; I believe it is for a good cause. Firstly, I will love to say THANK YOU for your support so far. Thanks for believing in the mandate and always being there to engage, contribute to all our activities.
My name is Lekingson, popularly known as LP, and I go by birth name Bordrin Nkengbu. As some of you know already, I am the founder and present CEO of iJesusAfrica; a Non Profit initiative built to discover, develop, and reveal Christian content and creators of every form. We are currently functioning as an online Christian news and entertainment platform, and still believing to extend to the glory of Father God.
iJesusAfrica was a vision given to me by the Father in 2017, after asking myself so many questions regarding Christian content creation and consumption in Cameroon. I desired to have a ‘go-to’ place for Christian updates, trends, etc. A system eligible to reveal great Christian/gospel acts doing amazing things in their communities; this brought to conception iJesusAfrica.
People go in shock when they find out I have run iJesusAfrica with no team, sponsors, donors, sophisticated resources for the past years, yes! iJA has been single-handedly built and developed by me – from building and maintaining the website, creating content, outsourcing gospel acts, researching, managing projects, negotiating partnerships, handling PR, managing social media platforms, paying monthly bills, developing strategies and campaigns, handling customer support to funding everything from my personal earnings! I tried building a team a few times, but let’s say I met the wrong people.
A lot has happened for the past years, and I can confidently say “I have paid my dues” and now its time to watch iJA grow to its full potentials; just as Father God desires it to be.
The last 2 – 3 years have not been an easy one for me, let’s say I sacrificed a lot for iJA, yes, I even gave up my fast-growing music career and every job opportunity, so I could focus and understand iJA. I did sacrifice a lot and I have no regrets; despite having little or no support. The only thing I regrate doing was ‘RUNNING WITH THE VISION AND NOT RUNNING WITH FATHER GOD’; YES I regret that a lot! This is why I have decided to take the vision to the giver and run with him, not the vision.
I will be taking out 3 days, starting from Thursday 11th – Sunday 14th to pray, and revisit the vision; I will be shutting down iJA’s official website and social media pages and open them after the 3 days program. I know shutting down the platform is seemingly unhealthy for our credibility, but it is worth the sacrifice. iJA has always been about CREATING IMPACT AND NOT IMPRESSIONS, and forever will.
My expectations after these 3 days are:
- Fully understand the Father’s heart for iJA.
- Get a strategic and spirit-driven plan and structure.
- Build an active, and diligent team.
- Develop an editorial policy that suits the vision.
- Build a business model that works best for iJA
- Repent from some character issues.
- And just let the Holy Spirit create with me.
You are all welcomed to join me in prayers these 3 days. Right after the program, I will launch a suggestion form online, for you to drop those amazing observations and ideas you have!
Gospel is beautiful, so are you! Greater things coming… I am so excited!!!
