Some inhabitants of New Road Mile 2, Nkwen Bamenda have expressed mixed feelings towards the sudden aid of water received from Camwater today.
The Camwater van made a stop at the vicinity drawing the attention of many who rushed to get their own share of the precious liquid while others withdrew because of reasons best known to them.
It is worth noting that, despite the numerous community taps available in the New Road neighborhood, the dry season is usually accompanied by a lack of water, and the population resorts to trekking for long distances in search of water. Nevertheless, the rainy season is always anticipated with delight as most persons rely on rainwater.
The question most people are asking is “why the distribution of water in the rainy season when it is not needed and not the dry season when the population suffers from a scarcity of water?”
