Born into a Cameroonian household, singer and songwriter Joycee Peters has been in love with music for as long as she can remember.
With the birth name Nwemba Joysline Nchenya, this artist has kept her dream alive from her childhood to date. Today being a wife, she is married to Atanga Peters a Christian Leader, and they have been blessed with a son.
In her early years, this talented woman made music out of everything she came across. As a kid, she would make her parents get her albums of her favorite gospel artists, and listen to them timelessly.
Eventually, she began to rehearse on her own, singing to her reflection in the mirror, occasionally getting family members together and performing for them, and in due course, she joined a school singing competition.
For her, music was not just an art, but a way of expressing her passion to the people around her. In time, she learned more about Jesus Christ and it encouraged her to use her passion for music as a medium to spread the gospel of Christ.
After earning a degree in Accounting, Peters was still convinced that her calling was nothing but singing gospel music to the people.
She has continued to look up to incredible role models in her field like Prosper Menko, Ada Ehi, Minister Etta, Sinach, and just to name a few. Following their examples has continued to reassure her that the calling she chose is worth it.
By September 2021, the amazing Joycee Peters debuted her professional career with the release of her first single “Till Forever Comes” available on YouTube and Major streaming platforms.
Recently, she has continued to inspire many lives with her melodious sounds, releasing an EP this 2022 on the 14th of February titled “The Day”.
She explains that the project is a reminder for true believers of Christ to expect a great reward from God, and not give up.
The artist has promised the coming of more songs that will be released in due time, reminding her listeners, of the one and only Savior of the world “Jesus Christ”.
